Barbara spent four years as a Resident Teaching Artist with Long Wharf Theatre. She wrote curriculum and taught in-school residencies for schools in New Haven and throughout Connecticut. In addition, she teaches adult acting classes and coaches in LWT's Studio School and privately. Barbara is an experienced early childhood educator, having worked in private schools in both NYC and CT. A native of New York, Barbara has worked extensively in theatre as an actor and earned her MFA in Acting as part of the inaugural class at the Actors Studio MFA Program at The New School in NYC. Barbara passionately believes that the study of theatre is the study of empathy and that theatre teaches us what it means to be human.
